PARTNER AGENCIES
Who we work with
No revenue service collects alone. Identity comes from NIMC, company data from the CAC, national tax coordination from the Joint Tax Board and FIRS, vehicle records from the FRSC, and the money itself from fourteen accredited banks and six payment service providers.
Why these relationships matter to you
A taxpayer should never have to prove the same fact twice to two arms of Government. When the Service can confirm your National Identification Number with NIMC, read your company’s registered particulars from the Corporate Affairs Commission, and see your vehicle record at the Federal Road Safety Corps, you do not need to bring a photocopy of anything. Every data-sharing arrangement listed on this page exists to remove a document from the counter.
These arrangements are governed by memoranda of understanding and, where personal data is involved, by data-sharing agreements made under the Nigeria Data Protection Act. The Service reads only the fields it needs for a specific revenue purpose, every access is logged against a named officer, and no taxpayer data leaves the platform for a commercial purpose.
Federal agencies
Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS)
Joint audits & data exchange
The FIRS collects company income tax, VAT and petroleum profits tax; we collect personal income tax on the same taxpayers. Joint audits avoid two teams visiting one company, and shared data closes the gap between what a company declares and what its directors declare.
Joint Tax Board (JTB)
National TIN & harmonisation
The JTB maintains the national taxpayer identification database and harmonises practice across the 36 States and the FCT. Our register is reconciled against it, which is what makes a TIN issued here valid everywhere in the Federation.
Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC)
Company & business names
Registered particulars, directors and annual returns are verified against the CAC register at the point of business premises registration, so a business does not have to re-prove its own incorporation.
National Identity Management Commission (NIMC)
Identity verification
NIN verification at TIN registration prevents one person holding several taxpayer numbers. It is the single most effective control the Service has against duplicate records.
Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC)
Vehicle & driver records
Driver’s licences are produced jointly with the FRSC, and the National Vehicle Identification Scheme lets us confirm that a vehicle presented for registration here is not already registered elsewhere.
Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST)
Addressing & service of notices
The postcode and addressing framework underpins our premises register, and NIPOST serves demand notices by registered post where personal service has failed.
Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN)
Treasury single account
The State revenue account is held under CBN arrangements, and the monetary policy rate published by the CBN sets the interest rate applied to overdue tax.
Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC)
Data protection
The Service is a registered data controller of major importance. Our data protection officer files the annual audit return and handles subject access requests.
Tax Appeal Tribunal
Independent appeals
A taxpayer dissatisfied with the Service’s decision on an objection may appeal to the Tax Appeal Tribunal within thirty days. We appear before it like any other party.
State ministries, departments and agencies
These MDAs raise revenue under their own laws; the Service assesses, bills, collects and accounts for it on their behalf so that no MDA handles cash.

Verify before you pay
The Service has no agent authorised to receive money on its behalf outside the banks and payment service providers listed on this page. Anyone offering to "settle" a liability privately is committing an offence and exposing you to a second demand.
Every genuine payment produces an electronic receipt bearing a receipt number, the revenue head code and the taxpayer’s TIN. Check any receipt at /payments/verify-receipt before accepting it as proof of payment.
Pay through an accredited channel
Fourteen banks, six payment providers, eight channels — and one receipt that can be verified in seconds.
